Just like that another year in the books for StormyCloud Inc. This year has felt like it has been going on forever, so much so that remembering everything that happened has been difficult. So let us start out with some accomplishments that we are proud of.

✅ 2024 Highlights

  • Strengthened our I2P Outproxy infrastructure to withstand early 2024’s network-wide DDoS attacks, ensuring uninterrupted service delivery.
  • Mitigated a massive DDoS attack, absorbing over 100 million malicious requests while maintaining operational continuity, albeit with minor performance degradation.
  • Migrated our infrastructure from Austin to Houston, unlocking increased rack space and a more resilient network blend to support our growth and service reliability.
  • Launched a newly redesigned website, significantly enhancing user experience with lightning-fast load times and expanded informational resources.
  • Added TOR and I2P support for our XMR node.
  • Enabled DoH and DNS-over-TLS support on our public DNS server.
  • Published service usage graphs for insight into popular services.

Not everything went our way this year. We hit a few bumps in the road, but our goal remains: improve every year and continue providing services to all privacy-based communities.

Here are some of our goals for 2025:

  • Prioritize donor engagement and outreach to ensure the long-term sustainability of our organization through community support.
  • Build out a robust monitoring infrastructure for servers, applications, network status, and more.
  • Move to a shared storage solution to implement high availability for critical services.
  • Expand our team with a part-time system administrator to help maintain operations while we focus on strategic growth.
  • Launch the beta version of I2P Web Hosting, building on our existing infrastructure.
  • Add more features to www.checki2p.com.
  • Continue supporting the I2P community through ongoing contributions and collaboration.
